Music to dance together

Forró is the union of various musical rhythms of the Brazilian Northeast, such as the "baião", the "quadrilha" (gang), the "xaxado", which has Dutch influences and "xote", who came from Portugal, are played traditionally by trios, consisting of an accordion player (eight bass), a percussionist and a triangle player.

Luiz Gonzaga, the King of Forró


A regional music, that was introduced in the big cities by the musics of Luiz Gonzaga, the "King of Forró", his sucess opened the doors for other great musicians of the interior of Brazil. Forró is a Brazilian dance that looks like the latin salsa so it is a dance music that everybody can pratice.
