ArtRio, the international art fair of Rio de Janeiro

In this first edition, ArtRio brings to Rio’s port region the collections of some 80 national and international galleries, ranging from the modernist avant-garde to contemporary art, with many works never before seen in Brazil. The organization want ArtRio to be more than just an annual event. They want its editions established as happenings that stir the city's cultural life, securing Rio de Janeiro a prominent spot in the calendar of major international fairs.

The ArtRio happens 08-11 September, occupying two halls Pier Maua (Avenida Rodrigues Alves, 10, center), in Rio de Janeiro - 50% being foreign. Renowned international spaces, such as Tristian Koenig (Australia) Mario Sequeira (Portugal), Crone (Germany), Bendana-Pinel (France) Magnan and Metz (USA) are some of the names confirmed.
