Circo Voador

The “Circo Viador” is a historic concert place and one with more stories with important figures of the city. The importance of the Flying Circus is based on the influence they had on the Brazilian music, bossa nova to rock'n roll, there were many artists who have passed through the circus tent.

The story begins in 1982 on the shore of the Arpoador beach. Armed with the participation of people in the theater, but certainly the music was the art that appeared more and prevalent at today, now, the Circus is located in Lapa, right beside the famous arches.

An excellent place to meet people, share a beer and good music with your friends. It is recommended to take a kilo of food, so all you have to pay is the half of the entry. Enjoy the concert...

The big party of the rock people

This will be the last years of the party A Maldita (will be in carnival). Borned 13 years before, this party is the only in Rio that can join in the same place different styles like the indie-pop, reaggae-country and the shoegaze, with the motto: "Start the week drinking a lot", that's because happen always in monday.

The DJ's Zé and Gordinho are 100% good vibration, and are the responsables to command the party. The drinks there is something special, they are separeted by starts: one star - "to stay cool"; two stars - "to the middle"; and three stars - "for who, that don't have nothing to lose".

Located in the center of the city, the Casa da Matriz, is a special disco, an old cinema that was converted in what is today. A big and old house which is part of city history.

Seu Jorge, the big name of the brazilian music

If you don´t know him, you have to listen. Samba, soul, funk, any music played from him is a good surprise. Borned in Rio de Janeiro, Seu Jorge is today the biggest musician of Brazil. Difficult is to find a ticket for his concert. This weekend he will play in the Oi Futuro in Ipanema/Copacabana, but of course the tickets are sold out.

Oi Futuro is a little theater that is specialist in music, there you can find new musicians, like the "Destemidos Wallace" (25/01), or in this case, Seu Jorge e Almaz (04/02). Your discography started with Farofa Carioca, and been a sucess just after that. And after, been the start to enriched our brazilian music.

Your new work is the recreation of one of the legend of the brazilian music, Tim Maia, musician from the 80's. And how I was telling you, he is the guy!! Take a look.....

Bailinho 2011

A festa que saiu do Rio para o Brasil volta a casa. E como cada ano, estréia novo local, Morro da Urca, mas com o mesmo feeling e boa música. É uma das festas mais consagradas do Rio de Janeiro em um dos lugares mais emblemáticos da cidade, Bailinho.

Infelizmente para essa edição as entradas estão esgotadas. Mas o Morro da Urca oferece muito mais proprostas no verão, além de Jorge Ben Jor, passaram pelo Morro, Moo Discoland, Maria Gadú, e outros. A festa vai do 4 ao 26 de fevereiro e o único incoveniente é ter que pagar o bondinho, deixando a noite um pouco mais cara.

Para fugir do calor, um passeio pela praia

O Rio de Janeiro está literalmente fervendo. E agora que chegamos aos 40ºC a melhor opção para fugir do calor é a praia, e os quiosques que acompanham toda a orla oferecem diversas opções de lazer. Podemos encontrar os quiosques mais modernos que estão do Leme ao forte de Copacabana, ou os mais tradicionais do lado de Ipanema e Leblon.

Em Copacabana podemos encontrar o Quiosque do Siri Mole (chef baiano: Isis Rangel). Ao lado o Espetinho Mimi com um dos melhores preços do chopp de toda orla. Champanheria Copacana é o local para a festa, já que beber espumante debaixo desse sol....mas quando o sol se põe a Bossa Nova acompanha a todos com uma dose de música ao vivo.

Ao aotro lado em Ipanema, podemos encontrar o Kiosque do Português, que oferece a "melhor caipirinha" do Rio de Janeiro. Agora com um novo lançamento, a caipirinha de lichia. Já no final do Leblon, no mirante, têm dois quiosques 24 horas. O Ria Sônia e o Mirante Sonhador, que vale pela vista, não tanto pelo preço.

E a opção de um belo mergulho está em todos os lugares, mas é no Arpoador que podemos encontrar iluminação e com sorte um mar mais tranquilo. Logo atrás está o Parque Garota de Ipanema que este verão está com uma programação de show e música. Outra opção são os bares-boates, como a filial do Café del Mar, mix de bar e restaurante de Ibiza. E outro espaço diferente, o Espaço OX, com uma discoteca no subsolo.
