Rio not only marks trends in fashion, but also in sports, it was the first racket ball sport invented in the sands of Copacabana called “frescobol”. Now the other official "new" sport of the sands of Rio is called footvoley, a sport that combines football on a beach volleyball arena.
The day will begin March 31 untill April 2 on Ipanema Beach, the World 4x4 Futevôlei World Championship SulAmérica. The participants will show their skills at the beach! One of the players is well known all over the world - Romario, now a Congress man , will not miss the oportunity to participate on this tournament. Another former star of Brazilian football, Renato Gaucho- now coaching the Gremio Football Club- has also confirmed his presence.
The tournament will feature the participation of France, Portugal, Argentina, Paraguay and Italy. A sport that also wants to become Olympic will have the opportunity to be accompanied by everyone in one of the most beautiful beaches of Rio de Janeiro. All games begin at 4:00pm, to avoid the hot sun and giving the public the chance to see two shows: The spectacular game and the sun setting in Ipanema Beach.
